What dog breed is the dog in The Proposal?

Q. I think the puppy in the movie The Proposal is adorable!
If anyone has seen that movie and know what type of dog breed the puppy is, please let me know!

A. That was the cutest dog I think I've ever seen. It looked like a Samoyed to me.

How do I pick a big headed bullmastiff puppy?
Q. I am curious how to choose a big headed bullmastiff , Or any bull type dog for that matter. Wht characteristics as puppies are signs of having a large head in adulthood? Thanks.

A. The head should always be proportionate to the body. Bullmastiffs are not supposed to have unusually large heads. Read the standard. You can see if they have the potential to have a *correct* head by looking at the parents. That being said, at 8 weeks it's nearly impossible to predict what a pup will mature out like. That's why you want to buy from a responsible breeder who knows their lines back many generations.

What would be the best type of dog for my family and I?
Q. I am looking for a puppy. The only thing is I don't know what type of dog to get. I have been looking for the perfect dog for my family. We are fairly active. My kids are 2 and 1. And the place I live at doesn't allow dogs more than 30 lbs. Can you all suggest a good type of breed for us?

A. Hi,
I imagine children that age take a lot of time and energy.

I personally suggest you hold off on getting any animal at this time in your life.

I do not think it is fair to the dog or the children if you get a dog.

I also do not think it is fair for a dog to be subjected to children that age. Wait until your children are older (7-8) so that THEY CAN BE TRAINED how to behave with a dog.

Enjoy your human children right now. They grow up so fast. There is a lot of time in your life to get a dog. Then it can be fun for the whole family and not a chore.

I have linked an article about Children and Dogs that is really worth reading. It is written by the well known and esteemed dog trainer and judge Dany Canino.

What type of dogs are born without tails?
Q. my dog had puppies and some of them had tails and some did not, they either had a bob tail or a very short nub. I cant load pictures but what type of dogs are born without tells? The mother is black and white and looks like a lab/pitt mix maybe boxer and the dad is golden color. Both are medium height, like a bit. Both do not have a tail, just a small nub. Both are same breed dog
oh bobbie, stfu
puppies arent bad to have, you dont know my situation, I have plenty of land for these dogs. A pure bread is not any better than a mutt. only people like u think so, ur a waste of life

A. I'm not sure of specific breed that can be born with no tail, but this is possible in all breeds due to genetic mutation or other reason. and I agree with you that mutts are just the same with purebred. they are lovable and they give you unconditional love just like any purebreds.
hope this helps
