Does anyone know what type of dog the dog from the pedigree commercial is?

Q. In the commercial his name is Oliver. He's really small and cute and i want to get that type of dog so if anyone can help me out that would be great....

A. Oh haha, he is a cutie! He's a terrier. Be sure you are able to take the little guy out to play and walk often because they're little balls of energy :) They're sturdy dogs and with a little research on your part you might find a terrier to be a perfect companion!

Check your local animal shelters when you're ready to get one :)

What type of dog is the dog from Paranormal activity 2?
Q. You know the dog named Abby in Paranormal Activity 2? What type of dog is it?

A. German Shepard

What do dog fighters generally do with the ears of the dogs they intend to fight?
Q. I saw a pit-bull type dog at the shelter with ears that were docked very short to the head. Does this indicate that this dog was used or was intended to be used for dog fighting?

What do dog fighters do with the ears of the dogs anyway? In old days didn't they used to dock them real close to the head?

A. Most people who get "fighting" breeds crop the ears with no intent on fighting. It just gives the dog a mean, watchdog look (even though they can be super sweet). But since it is at a shelter, why don't you see the staff if they know anything? I kind of doubt it because then it would probably have aggression problems with other dogs and all shelter dogs are tested for that.

What type of dog food is good for dogs that need to gain weight, but is not too expensive?
Q. I have a 2 1/2 year old heeler mix that can't seem to keep weight on - he's very high activity and once it started getting hot here, he's lost too much weight. I'd like to try a different type of dog food or maybe supplement with canned food too. However, I don't want to pay a fortune for it (i.e., under $20/bag please). Any advice?

A. You can put him on puppy food, and makes sure he gets lunch- just picl the same kind you have been feeding him, and get the puppy version, which will have more calories to it.

Or, you can give him a dab of peanut butter, as that is high in fat and protein as well - but don't overdue it.

Make sure he has been dewormed, or that will take calories away from him as well.

Those high drive herding dogs can really burn it off!
