What are some tips on how to get my dog comfortable to the idea of a new baby?

Q. This is my first child. The when I asked the vet this question, I was told to take a baby doll and treat it like it was a baby. I am looking for other suggestions.

A. Get your dog familar with the smells of a new baby, powders lotions ect... When you come home from the hospitol with the baby, have someone else hold the baby and you greet your dog (to avoid jealousy) introduce the dog(on a leash) to the baby allow him to smell the baby, and tell the dog be easy with the baby. I too was very nervous when I had my first baby about how my dog would act and accept the baby. But, I didn't have any problems with her. My dog loved the baby instantly and was ever gentle and loyal and protective of all three of my kids til the day she died. Usually they are pretty accepting of your new family member and learn from you that this is something we have to love and protect. Just remember though, that even though you may trust your pets, all animals need to be supervised when around babies and small children.

What are the advantages of the Czar structure being implemented by this administration?
Q. For Obama, it means no vetting or questioning of these appointees by Congress and the complete oversight and control of their activities by the White House. How does this affect the citizens of this country? How does such a structure benefit us?

A. there are advantages for obama but not for americans. obama wants to bypass congress so he can implement his socialist agenda. it will benefit him but not us.

Why do most Christians remain ignorant of the ways of Muslims and Jews?
Q. I think you cannot understand one without the others. It makes no sense, otherwise. I could not remain a blind follower of anything whose purpose I do not truly understand. I cannot be a sheeple to follow the others right over a cliff.

Everybody's leaders must be routinely vetted and questioned. Otherwise, they become like the current U.S. Congress -- fat, sassy, arrogant and wrong.

A. I couldn't agree more. My church has a ministry to Muslims, and they have the chance to try to convert us as we do the same to them. My Pastor is a Jew, as well as his family, and he explains Jewish ways to us almost every week. What ignorant christians are you referring to? Also, every pastor I've ever studied under told his congregation that they could question anything he said at any time. I wouldn't have it any other way.

What questions should I ask a veterinarian?
Q. Yesterday me and my dad were talking about what i wanted to be when I grew up. He already knew that I wanted to become a vet, but he's worried that the job isn't for me(and he'd rather I'd become something along the lines of a pharmacist).
He said that maybe I should contact a veterinarian to see what it's like working as a vet. So, what questions should I ask the vet in order to get a feel for what it's like working as a vet?
Thanks!

A. 1) Ask about the work hours. When they have to come in for emergencies, what kind of vacation time they get, etc.

2) How much are they paid, and how much, roughly were the college costs? How long would you be paying off college loans?

3) What kind of owners do they deal with? Any uneducated, angry, disagreeable, difficult owners?

4) Ask what the hardest part is for them, then ask yourself if you could handle it.

5) Ask how tough their college classes were. What kind of grades need to be maintained in college to have any hopes of being accepted to Vet School for your graduate classes?

6) How often are they bitten, kicked, scratched, attacked. It's a rather dangerous profession lol.

7) What's the most tedious part of the job? Would you be able to put up with it?

8) What's the best part, or the most fun?

9) Of all their college classes and skills, which do they find themselves using most?

10) Do they personally feel it was worth the studying, working, paying, and effort involved?
