How much are average chinchilla vet appointments?
Q. I plan on purchasing some soon and I wanted to know how much on average a trip to the vet would cost. I've heard many different prices, but I wanna hear from all the ones that actually care about and take of their chinchillas. I'll even like the actual vets to answer too. Thank you
A. Hi there... prices vary tremendously not only from each veterinary hospital, but also of their location (cost of living influences the prices) and their overhead. Therefore, you would need to ring multiple animal clinics who specialise in chins to learn their service fees. Here in Seattle and vicinity an office visit can be anywhere between $75 - 150 depending where the clinic is located and their overhead.
What is the lifespan of a mini-rex rabbit?
Q. Evryone says something different. Like one website said 6 years. Another said 8-10 years. Another said some other age! Can someone narrow it down please? I have a mini rex rabbit who will be turning 5 in July. He has a very large enclosure in a room that no one uses (except excersise). Can maybe an animal expert or vet answer this?
Thanks,
Angie :)
Thanks,
Angie :)
A. The average lifespan of an outdoor rabbit is around 5 years. Indoors, 8-10. Some rabbits will live well into their teens. I lost my oldest rabbit last month at the age of 14. Your rabbit should have several good years left at least if you care for him properly and he eats a proper diet.
What subjects do I need to become a vet?
Q. Hi guys, I am in third year in secondary school and wanted to know what subject choices are needed so I can become a vet later in life.
I know that biology and chemistry are required but do I need physics as well?
Also I am not great at maths. I am in lower level maths does this mean I cant become a vet?
Any answers are greatly appreciated, thank you :)

A. Are you from the UK? If so, you need to have maths and physics at GCSE and you need to get at least a B in them. But you don't need to take them to A-level. At A level, you definitely need chemistry and biology and you will need to get As or A*s in both.
